The GP Unique

It's difficult to find a more stylish hatchback than the GP Unique. It features large intakes, a curved arch and a two part rear wings. These are features usually reserved for French unicorns.

Thankfully, it doesn't only look mean. It also is incredibly responsive. Its engine is smooth, powerful and its 332lb-ft of torque arrives with little fuss at speeds below 1,750rpm. It's also well-matched to the quick-shifting six-speed automatic transmission. It's a shame that the GP Unique doesn't have a manual option, but Mini is clear about its emphasis on lap times and an auto is clearly the best option here.

But  greenpower scooter 's not without its faults. The GP Unique's suspension is solid but doesn't feel engaging. On a smooth and straight B road the chassis' dynamic limits are easily stretched, but it's difficult to maintain fluidity when you apply your inputs. The front end gets a bit snatchy, and the car struggles when under the pressure of irregular British bumps.

When you dial in the GP Unique, its handling is exceptional. Its powerful front end and body control remind us of the JCW race car we tested last year. It's a joy to drive on a slick road and when you are in a determined mood.

The car's chassis is also different from the regular MT-09, thanks to the fact it has more torsional stiffness and bigger axles. The new GP's 24.7 degrees of rake and 108mm of trail feel more nose-heavy in comparison to the R6. However, it also translates to incredible stability at the turn.

Another fantastic feature of GP is the PO Generator module. This module lets you examine your inventory as well as the min/max levels you've set for each item as well as any open POs your vendors have (i.e. more inventory is expected) and then generates suggested purchase orders you can then send to your suppliers.

The GP 500 is Airoh's lightest GP helmet to date, helping to reduce neck strain and fatigue as well as increasing safety by reducing stress on the shoulders of the wearer. The shell is designed to be aerodynamic and features the chin curtain spoiler, which helps enhance aerodynamics and reduce wind buffeting. Its EQRS Quick Release System is akin to the one that is found on many track-focused motorbikes helmets. This allows emergency services to remove it without disturbing the wearer's head.

Like most modern helmets, the GP500 is Snell and SHARP certified, and has an SHARP three-star rating. While this isn't the highest rating, it's a good rating considering it comes with front-to-back and side impact protection.

As far as image quality is related, I must say I was really impressed. The GP500 is capable of projecting images up to 4K resolution and managed to do so with outstanding clarity. It also had very low input delay when both Game Mode and Fast Mode were enabled, as per BenQ's published specifications.

In terms of the accuracy of the color it was close to perfection with a DeltaE error of just 2.3 which is quite excellent. It also displayed superb grayscale performance, with crisp and distinct shades. The GP500 displayed subtle rainbow colors when watching the Adam Project. They were clear to see, but did not affect the viewing experience.

The sound is also very impressive, and the GP500 has an onboard independent DSP chip that includes TreVolo psychoacoustic tune which creates 3D audio effects. It has an internal quad-speaker layout, that is placed in each corner of the cabinet. This is designed to create an audio field that is fully immersive for every person regardless of the position they are in in the room.

There are several options for connectivity, including HDMI inputs 1 2, 3, as well an optical Toslink SPDIF for sending Dolby-Atmos native bitstreams to a sound bar that is external. The GP500 includes two Type-A USB 2.0 ports for streaming content, and it also supports a 12-volt trigger for an electronic screen.

The GP 900

Sceptics might argue that the GP is simply an existing naked XSR900 dressed in a Wayne Rainey frock, but the truth is that Yamaha's engineers have put their heads together to create a sincere and effective tribute to its legendary sporty heritage. The GP's new Deltabox frame and swingarm are 55mm taller, but are much more compact in corners due to the new chassis geometry. A 6-axis IMU with full specs offers an array of electronic rider aids to the platform. KYB suspension has been upgraded with a larger front fork as well as a longer wheelbase.

The GP's asymmetrically shaped fairing has a neat trick up its sleeve, with a pair of air vents positioned in the cowling to decrease pressure inside and help disperse heat from the engine. This gives the appearance of a sleeker design and reduces the bike's center of gravity. The GP's brand new colour TFT dashboard is also an important feature, showing messages and call notifications as well as the ability to utilize Garmin StreetCross navigation and turn-by-turn directions (free for the first year).

Regarding rider control, the GP offers three preset riding modes, as well as a custom mode that can be manually set by the user. The GP also gets a new set of smartphone-connected technologies, including a YConnect app that combines smartphone integration with media control, as in addition to cruise control and a USB Type C socket to charge devices.

The GP 900 is a great machine with a heritage of sports however, it is also an excellent commuter or Sunday blaster. The 117bhp CP3 motor is a great choice and has a wide range of power that can be found at very low revs. Even at highway speeds, the GP's midrange power can be enough to alter your speed/time/distance calculation, and completely dissect Google Maps estimated time of arrival. The GP's chassis is equipped with the right amount of stiffness - it's not as rigid as an R6 or as light and agile like the TT500. It's an absolute blast to ride and an absolute blast.
